Interesting reading matter

In the summer of 2007 the 3rd International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam was held. This 3rd editon entitled Power - Producing the Contemporary City. They published a book about research done and viewpoints given by experts among which Kenneth Frampton, Alfredo Brillembourg & Hubert Klumpner, Keller Easterling, John Urry, Lieven de Cauter & Michiel Dehaene and many more.

One of the chapters is about Informal Cities with a general viewpoint by Brillembourg & Klumpner, and one of the examples being Sao Paulo researched by MMBB. I found both the exhibition and the book very interesting and i would recommend this reading matter for our workshop. The book is called Visionary Power - Producing the Contemporary City, NAi Publishers Rotterdam, ISBN 978-90-5662-579-5.

I have the book at home and if you're interested I can lend it to you. I read it when I was travelling through South-America so it's not really brandnew anymore, if you know what I mean. So if you'd like to read it, please take care of it.
